A/Prof. SK Cyril Wong’s dedication to patient care led him to serve as the Honorary Surgeon at Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital, where he provided compassionate and expert care to countless patients. Additionally, he held the position of Head of the South Western Sydney Colorectal Surgical Unit and the South Western Sydney Colorectal Tumour Group, pioneering multidisciplinary approaches to colorectal cancer management. His efforts in establishing the South-Western Sydney Colorectal Tumour Group were instrumental in providing better care for patients with colorectal cancer in the region.
A/Prof. SK Cyril Wong played a pivotal role in founding the Australian Chinese Medical Association (ACMA) and served as its Foundation Senior Vice President. Recognized for his leadership and organizational skills, A/Prof. SK Cyril Wong also served as the Foundation Area Director of Colorectal Services for the Sydney South West Area Health Services.
