Dr Sheehan provides comprehensive medical evaluations and expert opinions in medico-legal cases. Dr Sheehan has a special interest in the following area’s – depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders and post-natal depression.
Dr Sheehan started his medical journey at both Austin and Box Hill Hospitals in Melbourne, prior to moving into the field of Psychiatry and achieving his Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 1991. After spending time as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Maroondah Hospital, Dr Sheehan has been in private practice in Lilydale since 1993.
Dr Sheehan is a foundation and continuing member of the Faculty of Forensic Psychiatry and contributes his expertise on the Victorian Medical Panel Board of Examiners and a Psychiatric Member of the Mental Health Tribunal.
