Dr Clayton Smith is a Fellow of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and has a special interest in mood disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) extending to inpatient treatment or drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation.

Dr Smith’s extensive experience incorporates a range of different treatments including medication, psychotherapy and lifestyle modification.

Dr Clayton Smith is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). This experience, in conjunction with involvement in rehabilitation of patients, gives him the ability to comment on the suitability of treatment for a candidate and project realistic expectations for outcomes of proposed treatment.
