After completing undergraduate studies at University of New South Wales, Dr Rachel Paisley went on to complete a number of roles, both metropolitan and regional, giving her broad experience and exposure to various psychiatric settings.

Dr Paisley’s regional experience included six months in adult inpatient settings and six months in an adult community clinic at The Royal Darwin Hospital. This included significant exposure to indigenous mental health issues and an appreciation of the complexities in remote mental health service delivery.

Since gaining Fellowship in 2017, Dr Rachel Paisley has worked as a Psychiatrist in the private health system. Still in clinical practice, Dr Paisley has a particular interest in perinatal psychiatry as well as continuing to work in general adult psychiatry
