Dr Ivers is a Queensland-based Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 30 years experience working as a general Orthopaedic Surgeon in Toowoomba and Brisbane. As a country-based specialist, it was important for Dr Ivers to be a “generalist” rather than a sub-specialist as he was the only Orthopaedic Surgeon in town. Consequently, he has gained vast experience in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal trauma (both adult and paediatric), spinal injuries and conditions (such as disc injuries), and traumatic and constitutional conditions involving the upper and lower limb.

Dr Ivers has provided medicolegal expert opinion over many years and is fully accredited for assessment under AMA 4, 5 and 6. He is accredited as a Workers Compensation assessor for Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, as well as undertaking Comcare assessments. Furthermore, Dr Ivers is an approved Medical Specialist for the New South Wales WorkCover Commission and is also Deputy Chairman of the Queensland Q-COMP Tribunal. Dr Ivers is a qualified and experienced assessor of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine and the extremities. These conditions include those that are congenital and those acquired through disease or trauma. Dr Ivers is available for assessment of patients in Brisbane and in several Queensland regional towns.
