Her specialist training began in 2006 with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). In 2008, she received a Master of Psychological Medicine from Monash University and became a Fellow of the RANZCP in February 2011. In 2012, Dr Jayarajah was admitted as an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA).

Dr Jayarajah’s experience spans various psychiatric sub-specialties, focusing on consultation-liaison psychiatry, psychotherapy, perinatal psychiatry, addiction medicine, and occupational psychiatry. She is accredited in the AMA4 guides (GEPIC) and holds a public appointment as a Consultant Psychiatrist at The Alfred Hospital.

Moreover, Dr Jayarajah serves as a Presiding Member on Medical Panels, delivering Opinions and Reasons for medical queries referred according to the Victorian Workers Compensation Legislation and the Wrongs Act 1958. She is a Psychiatrist member of the Convenor Advisory Committee and serves as the Independent Medical Advisor to National Australia Bank. Her role includes providing clinical supervision, collaborating with treating physicians, reviewing files, and devising management plans for injured workers with mental and physical health conditions.
