Dr Gothelf has twenty years of experience practising Orthopaedic Surgery. He was trained in the United States at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr Gothelf is currently working in clinical practice in various locations across the Sydney metropolitan area. He has specific fellowship training in Foot, Ankle, and Shoulder Surgery.
Dr Gothelf has a keen interest in the medicolegal field, having been qualified across many sectors, including Worker’s Compensation, Motor Accidents, Income Protection, Fitness For Duty. He is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner accredited by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He has attended various meetings worldwide on independent medicolegal training including Return to Work and Work Capacity.
Dr Gothelf can do assessments in all musculoskeletal injuries, whether automobile accidents, trauma, or work injuries, including common injuries such as back problems, neck injuries, shoulder injuries. Dr Gothelf makes every effort to provide unbiased reports which provide justification for decisions made based upon the evidence provided in the documentation, history and physical examination. He is committed to answering all questions to the best of his ability, and is avaiable for discussion if needed, including early intervention case management consultations.
