Dr. Ramakrishnan’s areas of expertise lie in the nuanced understanding and treatment of Mood disorders, Anxiety disorders, Psychosis, and Addiction disorders. Assuming the team-lead for the team-management of patients, Dr Ramakrishnan has excellent knowledge on bio-psycho-social treatment methods within the legal framework of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
Dr Ramakrishnan recently completed the RANZCP Supervisor Accreditation Course and now supervises both accredited and unaccredited trainees, as well as being involved in the teaching and examination of medical students. He regularly participates in National and International Conferences and Work Shops to keep abreast with the current developments in Psychiatry.
Fluent in both English and Tamil, Dr. Ramakrishnan fosters effective communication with his patients, creating an environment where individuals from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds can comfortably seek mental health support.
