IDENTIFY AND MANAGE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES WITH CONFIDENCE
MENTAL HEALTH ILLNESS IN THE WORKPLACE
Workplace mental illness impacts millions of Australians on both a personal and professional level. It is considered an important organisational risk factor requiring mitigation, and early intervention is crucial to support impacted employees and to maintain a positive workplace culture and productivity.
This workshop gives you the knowledge, confidence and strategies to better conduct conversations with colleagues displaying symptoms of mental illness, those struggling with declining mental health, individuals living with mental illness or those in a mental health crisis. You’ll be able to identify the signs and symptoms of common mental illnesses and will understand the best ways to approach specific behaviours and situations with team members.
You’ll learn where to go for further assistance, and how to best support your own wellbeing. Turning a blind eye to mental illness in the workplace is not a strategy.
Learn the skills you need to effectively support and encourage these colleagues.
